I would really like to go but we may not be around this weekend, so we'll see. It would be great to hear them play our wedding song again (Through the Years by Kenny Rogers).

I have not been to the Casino yet so I am unable to suggest a meeting point. I don't believe it is quite as imposing as a Vegas or AC venue which should make it easier for us. If anyone has a suggestion chime in.

Jim: Is it presumptuous to think we all have cell phones, or most of us. We can share a few cell numbers and whomever is going can call the one two or three numbers letting each other know where we may be or how about a baloon. My number is 917-402-5333. It would be good to get an idea of an approximate number of how many plan on being there. What do you and others feel about that. I'll be there with Linda early at about 8. Hello there: I'm sorry to say that I should back off from my volunteering as a contact person for getting together at the Casino lounge. I have an extremely important obligation to attend to which will cause me to arrive much later than I originally anticipated. So, maybe those intending to go to the show you may want to devise another way to meet or exchange cell #'s to get together. Again I apologize for the change, I just didn't want someone depending on calling me thinking I was at the Casino when in reality I just may be on the Long Island Expressway on my way there which will probably be much later, if at all. Hello guys as an add on to my previous post to make your transport to the Gotham Palace a bit easier just stay in the middle of the casino as you walk down you will be standing on a red rug thats easy.As you enter the Gotham Palace area the rug will change to purple indicating your there and that was easy.Now u are in the area you want to be in look for the promotion booth and torwards your left you should see the lounge now that was easy too.

WOW!!!...WHAT A BAND!!!


Franks band was phenominal...from "Sinatra" to "DooWop" to "The Police" to "Springstein" to "Meatloaf" even up to modern day stars such as "Beyonce" etc. they played the musical gamut and no matter the genre they were superb...the band is absolutely a first rate professional act...I can't wait till I see them again...they were so good I was even up dancing!!!

If you ever get the chance to see STAGES you will not be disappointed...I guareentee it!!!

We all had a a really good time with great seats and the venue itself proved perfect for our needs...I must say it was a really FUN night out, what with the entertainment and the company it was certainly a good time had by all...

I absolutely concur with John's sentiments regarding our sojourn to the Empire Casino to see "Stages". It was a great evening, with good friends and an stellar performance by the band. As John commented, their range of music is unbelievable. There seems to be no limit to what they can play and play extremely well. We certainly enjoyed the evening as did many of the "locals" who put on a floor show of their own. I know Frankie Truglio really appreciated the show of support from the old neigborhood.

I too have to jump on this wagon of thoughts.It was a great night had by all.O what a night back in 06 a new memory made.We all had a great time.We even had a special addition to the band and that was a guy by the name of John Tell who was amazing an upcoming new star in the business his pretty wife Annie was the focus of most of all his love songs.It was a night to remember and new memories were made.I'm sure as Jimmy said Frankie was glad to have us all remember him and that is a good thing.I myself was up and dancing to just about every song they were that good.To Marion and Mike wish you could of made it.I hope you had a good weekend.See this site is more than just about past memories it is also making new ones!!! I am soooo glad I was able to make it.Jimmy you did good by letting us know about his being there thanks.Frank looks great.I am so glad I was able to make it.O by the way I LOST. I believe it was in Miss Keeling's second grade class 2A1, in 1959, that Frank performed Christmas songs for us on the last day of school before the holidays. He was amazing even then. I'm sure it was a kid-sized accordion, but it still looked massive being played by a seven year old. I remember him as a really nice, easy-going kid. I don't know if he was switched to the other class as many people were in 4th grade. Does anyone know if he graduated St. Anthony's?

Rich...Frank did graduate from St. Anthony's and I belive it must have been you who switched in the 4th grade because I had Mrs Donohue(with the oatmeal gun) in 2nd grade...

Frank really did make the most of his accordion lessons and if you ever get the chance to hear his band you'll see what I mean...

Hey, John good to see you on here, I actually stayed with the 1 side for all 8 years. I'll have to check my diploma picture which I haven't looked at in years. I remember some of the kids who were moved from the 2 side in 4th grade- Stan Mankowski, Danny Cunningham and Geraldine Hackett.

Were you involved in that Salesian retreat in 5th or 6th grade where we were actually interviewed by a Fr. Nugent about our priestly aspirations? I remember Mike Durkin's dad driving some of us to either the Port Authority or all the way to Goshen.

The dorm was like the kid's dorm in THE CIDER HOUSE RULES. I remember freezing my ass off in bed.

For about 8 more years, I got mail from the Salesians' "Future Priests' Club", saying they'd be in the Bronx soon.

In 1974, we left the Bronx and they never tracked me down.

Rich...yes I went on that retreat, I believe it was 6th or 7th grade...I remember Michael Durkin getting thrown from a horse and banging his head...hmmm...
